Whole-genome sequences of two novel chitinolytic bacterial strains within the genera <i>Streptomyces</i> and <i>Pseudomonas</i>

<i>Streptomyces</i> sp. CLCI03 and <i>Pseudomonas</i> sp. CLCA07 were isolated from soil suspensions cultured on chitin-amended Winogradsky medium. Whole-genome analyses of these two strains revealed genome sizes of 8.68 and 6.73 Mb with G + C contents of 71.75% and 58.53%, respectively, and suggest that these strains represent two putative novel species.
