The genome sequence of the Alder leaf beetle, <i>Agelastica alni</i> (Linnaeus, 1758)

We present a genome assembly from a specimen of <i>Agelastica alni</i> (Alder leaf beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Chrysomelidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 692.27 megabases. Most of the assembly (98.71%) is scaffolded into 12 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 17.39 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 13,498 protein-coding genes.
