The genome sequence of Nathusius' pipistrelle, <i>Pipistrellus nathusii</i> (Keyserling & Blasius, 1839) (Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae)
Abstract
We present a genome assembly from an individual female <i>Pipistrellus nathusii</i> (Nathusius' pipistrelle; Chordata; Mammalia; Chiroptera; Vespertilionidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 961.71 megabases and 1 889.00 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (92.66%) is scaffolded into 22 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 17.27 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
