Abstract

We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of <i>Erebia montana</i> (Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Nymphalidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 597.21 megabases and 499.88 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (98.25%) is scaffolded into 24 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W, Z 1, and Z 2 sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.2 kilobases.
