Abstract

A bacterial isolate capable of utilizing calcium oxalate as its sole carbon source was isolated from desert soil to explore the role of oxalotrophy in drylands. Complete genomic sequencing and phylogenomic analysis identified the organism as a strain of <i>Bradyrhizobium denitrificans</i>.
