Complete genomes of Escherichia coli isolates encoding the EatA autotransporter from pediatric sources
Abstract
Virulence in Escherichia coli is multifactorial, with additional virulence factors continuously being examined and characterized. We describe the complete genomes of 12 E. coli isolates obtained from subjects enrolled in the Global Enteric Multicenter Study, each containing the virulence-associated enterotoxigenic E. coli autotransporter A gene (eatA).
