Chromosome-scale genome and lncRNA annotation of the Orange Baboon Tarantula (Pterinochilus murinus)

We present a high-quality chromosome-scale genome assembly for the Orange Baboon Tarantula (Pterinochilus murinus). The 4.7 Gb genome is organized into 22 chromosomes and demonstrates 96.32% completeness based on BUSCO analysis (-m genome) using the arachnida_odb10 dataset. Genome annotation supported by extensive RNA-seq evidence (~189 Gb) identified 40,403 protein-coding genes and 14,286 long non-coding RNA loci. These comprehensive genomic resources-including a chromosome-scale assembly and lncRNA annotations-support a wide range of comparative and functional genomic analyses in spiders and related arthropods.
